About Duikerspan

Duikerspan Safaris is a family-owned and operated business with a passion for wildlife and conservation. The current owners are the fourth generation on the land. DamHuis, SkietHuis, and TentHuis are operated by Adriaan and Sandra du Plessis. BosveldRome and PlaasHuisie are operated by Pieter and Glaudina du Plessis. Our experienced guides will lead you on an unforgettable adventure, sharing their knowledge and love for the African bush. We are committed to responsible tourism and the preservation of our natural heritage.

Our Camping Options

DamHuis

Damhuis is a semi-glamping facility. Guests should bring a sleeping bag and pillow for each guest, and food for the duration of their stay. Crockery, cutlery, and utensils are provided. Damhuis features 2 single beds and 1 double bed (sleeps 4), a single carport, a "donkey" for hot water (fire-making required). Firewood will be provided for the hot water donkey. It has a kitchenette, and a bathroom with shower, basin, and toilet. Enjoy an outside enclosed braai area. Please note: Access to Damhuis is via rough dirt roads. Normal cars may struggle. An SUV with good ground clearance or a bakkie is recommended.

SkietHuis

This option is for seasoned campers who own a bush caravan or camp in their own tent. Facilities provided are a toilet, basin, shower, and a "donkey" for hot water. Guests will bring along all utensils and equipment they need. A cement slab is available to park the bush caravan on or pitch the tent on. Maximum 6 guests.

TentHuis

Tenthuis is located in a more secure area close to the farmer's residence, making it ideal for persons with small children. Facilities include a tent with 4 single beds, a kitchenette with utensils, crockery, and cutlery, a bathroom with a toilet, basin, and shower, as well as a "donkey" for hot water. Firewood will be provided for the hot water donkey.

PlaasHuisie

The Plaashuisie sleeps 6 persons (single beds). It features an outside braai area, a bathroom, and a "donkey" for hot water. Firewood will be provided for the hot water donkey.

BosveldRome

Bosveld Rome is a beautiful glamping option. It sleeps 8 persons. Facilities include a kitchen, fridge/freezer, gas stove, and splash pool, braai area and 2 bathrooms. Cutlery, crockery and bedding is provided.
